Upper Division Assessments Dates TO BE UPDATED for the 2016 season fairly soon...
2015 Major Baseball Tryouts Dates
Major Baseball is the most competitive baseball division in our Little League program. Players (aged 10-12) are selected through a try out and draft process. Players will be required to attend at least 2 of the tryouts to be eligible for the Major’s team draft.
At the tryouts, players will be rated on hitting, fielding, pitching and running by the volunteer coaches. Coaches will then select their teams from the eligible candidates. Those players who are age 12 (prior to April 30) can be accepted into the Majors division regardless of skill. However, it is in a parent’s best interest to ensure that their player is capable of playing at this level. If they are not, they can be placed on a team in the Minor Baseball division to assure they have a good season. Other players, who are not drafted to a Major Baseball Team, will be placed on a Minor Baseball team. The number of teams may vary based on registration numbers.
Returning Majors need only attend one session to be assessed for team making purposes.
Major Baseball Tryouts will be held at Layritz Park:
