See the Atec Pitching Machine Manual Page 4 (4MB) for detailed instructions on how to properly operate the controls. For up/down, and left/right, there are both fine (#14 in diagram) and course adjustment (#6) controls To set up a machine please follow the below general guideline or read the manual.
1. Adjust both micro adjust knobs #13 and #14 to line up the small centering lines. 2. For younger players set the upper knob to around 2-3 and lower knob to 5-6 3. Turn the machine on and fire some balls. 4. Crack lever #6 (course up down) loose and pull/push the machine up or down to get the right strike height. Re-tighten. 5. Crack lever #5 (course left right) loose and pull/push the machine left or right to throw strikes over the plate. Re-tighten. 6. After the machine is throwing strikes, use micro adjustment knobs #13 and #14 to move the ball left/right and up/down by a handful of inches for fine tuning.
DO NOT FORCE ANY ADJUSTMENT KNOBS AS DAMAGE WILL RESULT.
Please book only a week in advance, a one hour time block, and once per week. This helps us get as many teams through as we can and shares the prime spots.
Week night time blocks are 5:30-6:30pm and 6:30-7:30pm in order to get at least two useable time slots. Weekends we try to book on the hour so best accommodate game times.
Please close and lock the garage doors and pick up any garbage in the cage when done.
