2018 Registration

REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED FOR 2018

ALL parents and/or guardians will be required to sign a Parent Code of Conduct and players will be provided with the Player Code of Conduct to sign.

New players must bring their Birth Certificate in order to verify player age.

ALL players must complete our online registration form:

In person registration sessions will be scheduled each season for the end of January and early February - all information will be updated on the website and Facebook page.  Cash payment for registration can only be accepted at in person events.  If you miss the in person registration then payment must be sent by mail to:

**Important if you are registering more than 1 player you can combine their registration fees only.

Each player must have their own volunteer and uniform deposit where applicable and please ensure that your child's name is clearly noted in the memo line of EVERY cheque.

 Blastball registration can be paid with either cash or cheque.

 Teeball and Mini-Minor will require 2 payments - either cash + 1 cheque per player, OR, 2 cheques per player;               

  1. a registration fee PLUS fundraising fee - cash or cheque
  2. a post dated cheque (April 1, 2018) in the amount of $100 for Volunteer Deposit - must be a  cheque              

 All other Divisions, Baseball and Softball will require 3 payments - either cash + 2 cheques per player, OR, 3 cheques per player;               

  1. a registration fee PLUS fundraising fee - cash or cheque
  2. a post dated cheque (April 1, 2018) in the amount of $100 for Volunteer Deposit - must be a cheque.
  3. a post dated cheque (July 1, 2018) in the amount of $75 for Uniform Deposit - must be a cheque.

 

No player will be refused participation for financial reasons.  Eligible families can apply for Kidsport or Jumpstart to help cover the cost of registration - please take the time to submit your application before registration.  If you are are not eligible for either program and are still facing financial barriers to participation please contact registrar@layritz.ca

 ** all divisions minor and up require attendance at assessments before players will be placed on a team - Layritz Little League will be responsible for ALL division and team placements for players aged 8 and up in both Baseball and Softball.

All cheques must be made out to Layritz Little League and must have players name in the memo line.

Blastball and Tee-ball registration and payment must be received by March 10, 2018

ALL divisions Mini-minor and up must be paid by February 10, 2018 or players will be placed on the waitlist until we assess the numbers.

Uniform deposits postdated to July 1, 2018 and must have player(s) name in the memo line.

Volunteer deposits postdated to April 1, 2018 and must have player(s) name in the memo line.

Residency Requirements:

Blastball players are not subject to catchment restrictions and may register at any park offering the Blastball Program. However, Little League programs from Tee-ball and up are subject to catchment rules and playing Blastball at Layritz Little League will not give non-catchment players the opportunity to “grandfather” into the Tee-ball program.
 
All players Tee-Ball and up please review the following additional Residency Requirements:
 
1. Players must either live in catchment, attend an in catchment school, have a valid II(d) waiver in place, OR, lived or attended school in catchment during the 2017 season – NO EXCEPTIONS.
 
2. If a player(s) lived or attended school in catchment last season and has now moved out of catchment or changed to an out of catchment school a Form II(d) MUST be completed and submitted at registration. The completed Form II(d) will be reviewed by the league president who will then present it to be reviewed and signed by the District Administrator before the player can be cleared to play at Layritz LL. 
 
3. All players claiming in catchment status based on school enrollment MUST complete a new School Form – copies of school report card will no longer be accepted as stand alone proof of enrollment.
 
Schools in the Layritz Catchment are: (softball players can be from Lakehill or Central Saanich Catchment as well)

4. All families (new & returning) claiming in catchment residency MUST provide 1 document from the following list at registration - document MUST contain the full residence which includes parent(s) or guardian(s) name, street address, city, province and postal code information, dated or in force between February 1, 2017 (previous year) and February 1, 2018 (current year):
1. Driver’s License (photo ID of parent(s) or guardian(s))
2. School records
3. Vehicle records (i.e., registration, lease, etc.)
4. Employment records
5. Insurance documents (with residence address)
 
**In some cases additional residency documentation will be required.
 
OR
 
Returning Players who have previously completed a Player Verification Package in order to compete on an All-Star team can submit the package as proof of residency as long as there has been no change of address or school (which ever was used to confirm eligibility).
