Big Thanks to Executive, Coaches, and Other Volunteers!

A big THANK YOU goes out to all those who helped make this 2012 regular season a huge success.  Your hours of unselfish giving of your time and talents help make Layritz the great place to play ball, meet new friends, and make life long memories.

A big shout out goes Deb, Denise, Heather, and Rose (and anyone I missed) for feeding everyone at the Coaches BBQ Saturday night.  This gourmet extravaganza was top notch and provided the well needed energy for the Coaches' game on the Majors diamond.  I don't know who won, other than those that love the game, played until there was not enough left to field an infield.  I call that a WIN-WIN by any means!

Safety and Courtesy in the Parking Lots

Remember the parking lot is a very busy place and many of our players and visitors are not even as tall as many of the cars parked here.  Please slow down in the lot and entrance road to the park so that everyone stays safe.

We have received several recent emails where vehicles in the Layritz Ave. side lot have been blocked in when the lot was busy.  Please use common sense and remember it may be you next time with a younger child or having to be somewhere else being stuck waiting to try and find a way out.

If you're having trouble finding a parking spot don't forget the other lot off Markham Road in the Vancouver Island Tech Park.
See our [ Parking at Layritz ] page for lot locations and map details.

Spitz Free Layritz

Because of the excessive mess being left behind in the dugout and bleacher area of many diamonds, we ask that players and parents refrain from bringing sunflower seeds to the park.

Criminal Record Checks Required

All managers, coaches, and directors are required to complete criminal records checks.  If you have not submitted one yet, please do so immediately.  You can download and print it directly off the Saanich Police web site here. Check under the new [ Coaches ] tab for more information.
